Approximately 30-50% of individuals with ADHD have a co-existing anxiety disorder. Dr. Santos will discuss how different anxiety disorders co-occur with ADHD, how this affects treatment, and treatment strategies for coping with both. Further, it will discuss recommendations for school-based professionals regarding educational placements, accommodations, and interventions.

Dr. Santos will provide an anxiety workshop for parents and professionals working with children adolescents with anxiety spectrum disorders. Dr. Santos will be discussing how such disorders can negatively impact school performance. In addition, this presentation will provide an overview of the evidence based treatment for anxiety disorders used in clinical practice as well as how to integrate the school into treatment.
